Schitt’s Creek was the big winner at last night’s Emmy Awards, winning a record-breaking seven honors. This is the most won by one season of a comedy show.
It included separate awards for its four lead actors. The beloved Candian series concluded its sixth and final season earlier this year.
It picked up a whole new army of fans as people sought out binge-worthy TV in lockdown. The show focusses on the Rose family, who lose their fortune and set out to rebuild their lives in the small town of Schitt’s Creek.
The final episode featured the wedding of pansexual character David Rose to his partner, Patrick. In a unique Primetime Emmy’s show, in which all the nominees watched remotely or from home, Schitt’s Creek won the following awards.
