The school was holding a flag-themed day, and one 17-year-old student brought the rainbow flag.A fellow student told him to get rid of the flag, and when the first student asked why, yet another schoolmate began punching him in the head and trying to take the flag away.
The student with the rainbow flag was injured, but the paper didn’t have information on the extent of his injuries.The accused attacker has been charged with aggravated battery, Macoupin County State’s Attorney Jordan Garrison told the Journal-Courier.
