LOS ANGELES – The coronavirus pandemic has created tremendous stress and anxiety as Angelenos navigate their way through the uncertainty of unemployment, health issues posed by the virus, lack of a normal routine from shopping to recreational pursuits.
But for the hundreds of thousands of students and their parents of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and other surrounding area school districts- trying to learn in a virtual setting via zoom, email, and the web has presented a unique and more often than not adversarial challenge.
One parent told the Blade that having the children at home full time while still trying to maintain employment and juggle the needs of their children has been daunting.
