WFAA reports.But recently school administration, led by a new principal this year, began forcing teachers to remove the stickers, citing a policy against using their classrooms to “transmit personal beliefs regarding political or sectarian issues,” reports The Dallas Morning News.
Two teachers who refused to take down the stickers or, according to some outlets, objected to their removal, have been absent from MacArthur ever since.Students told Dallas’s CBS affiliate they saw one of the teachers, Rachel Stonecipher, being escorted off campus.
Administrators declined to discuss the employment status of Stonecipher or the other teacher, who has not been publicly identified.
