It was an emotional night on Thursday as the Pride of Britain awards aired its annual ceremony. And it's fair to say there were plenty of tears as some of the country's unsung heroes were finally recognised.

Westlife were on hand to perform at the star-studded ceremony with their new track My Hero. ITV viewers were quick to praise the four-piece band for their "stunning" and "beautiful" performance of the tune, which was co-written by Ed Sheeran. "Pride of Britain had to finish with Westlife just to tip us all over the edge emotionally," one viewer shared.
