BBC apologises after radio caller uses gay slurs and says N-word eight times

The BBC has apologised after a caller into a London radio show said the N-word eight times and used gay slurs. The caller phoned in to Sunny and Shay's BBC Radio London show, which is hosted by married couple Mandeep "Sunny" and Gursharonjit "Shay" Grewal, on Saturday night.

While the hosts apologised on air for what the caller had said, listeners have said they should ended the call after the offensive rant.

The BBC said it is investigating how the call was able to air and said the interview had been removed from BBC Sounds. A BBC spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: "An on-air apology was made and it has been removed from BBC Sounds. "This was clearly a malicious call and we are looking into how this happened."
