A man left his mum 'black and blue' after dragging her from her bed and smashing her head against the wall in a brutal attack.

Daniel Colebourne launched the vicious assault on Margaret Colebourne in their home earlier this year, Liverpool Echo reports.

Derek Jones, prosecuting, said Colebourne’s mum told police she 'felt like she was walking on eggshells' while he was in their home in Bootle, Merseyside.
