Living in Love and Faith which explores the church’s teaching on marriage and the division between traditionalists and liberal worshippers.
Described by the church as a ‘landmark set of resources’ it has taken three years to complete and includes a series of films and podcasts aimed at helping church members understand questions about sexuality, social attitudes and Christian thinking.
The booklet begins with a forward from the Church of England’s two most senior figures apologising for the ‘huge damage and hurt’ caused to LGBT+ people.The archbishops of Canterbury and York, Justin Welby and Stephen Cottrell respectively, said that the church had caused, and continued to cause, ‘hurt and unnecessary suffering’.
