He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

OAKLAND: A global race is on to develop smartphone apps and other types of mobile phone surveillance systems to track and contain the spread of COVID-19.

The process known as contact tracing is used to control the spread of infectious diseases, and was boosted last week when the top two smartphone software manufacturers, Google and Apple, said they were collaborating on apps that can identify people who have crossed paths with a contagious patient and alert them.
