BBC Three has revealed an insane line-up of guest stars for the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Alongside the previously announced Hannah Waddingham, the panel will also see the debuts of British icons such as Dame Joanna Lumley, Alison Hammond, Boy George, Lorraine Pascale, Mel B, Leomie Anderson, Olly Alexander and FKA Twigs.
According to the official Twitter account for Drag Race UK, Strictly Come Dancing hosts Cat Deeley and AJ Odudu will “offer up their best blankety blanks” in the Snatch Game, while Strictly dancer Giovanni Pernice puts the queens “through their paces” for an all-singing, all-dancing challenge.
Irish comedian Aisling Bea “drops by to bring some comedy to the competition” and legendary singer-songwriter Cathy Dennis provides the contestants with “a songwriting masterclass”. “That’s all of our news for today!” tweeted the account. “Keep those eyes peeled for more announcements… very soon!” Fans celebrated the “top tier” guest judges, with one joking that “gays can now rest for a thousand years” with the inclusion of Absolutely Fabulous icon Joanna Lumley. “I sense some basements may flood!” another correctly tweeted.
Drag Race UK season four will see the return of RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr as regular panellists. Back in June, Norton told GAY TIMES that the new season is “really impressive” and boasts “some of the best queens we’ve ever seen”.
