Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall commanded Hollywood’s biggest night this year, with an Oscars telecast that ran a full three hours, 40 minutes.
Of course, the evening also had its share of queer moments as well.To recap the top awards of the evening: queer actress Ariana DeBose took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in West Side Story.
DeBose becomes the second actress to win the award for playing the role of Anita, following in the footsteps of Rita Moreno.
DeBose also becomes the first openly LGBTQ woman of color to win an acting Oscar, and gave a moving speech to match her achievement.Best Supporting Actor went to Troy Kotsur for his work in Coda.
