British actor Helena Bonham Carter shared her opinions about both author J.K. Rowling and actor Johnny Depp in a recent interview with the U.K.’s Sunday Times Magazine, expressing support for both of them.Bonham Carter, 56, said that Depp had been “completely vindicated” after his defamation trial against his ex-wife out actor Amber Heard."I think he's fine now," Bonham Carter said. "Totally fine."Depp won a suit against Heard over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed on domestic violence.

Heard did not name Depp in the article.A jury awarded Depp over $10 million in damages, while Heard won one of her defamation counterclaims and was awarded $2 million. Both Depp and Heard are appealing the decisions.

Bonham Carter said that Heard “got on that pendulum” in reference to a question about the Depp decision being the “pendulum of #MeToo swinging back.”"That's the problem with these things — that people will jump on the bandwagon because it's the trend and to be the poster girl for it," she said.Bonham Carter and Depp have starred in a number of films together including the Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd. She also defended Rowling from critics who have condemned Rowling for her transphobic views and comments.

Bonham Carter played Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter film franchise."It's horrendous, a load of bollocks. I think she has been hounded.
