Two Eyes features a meeting between intergenerational transgender trailblazers.In an exclusive clip from the feature film shared with The Advocate, Gender Outlaw author Kate Bornstein portrays Gabriella, a therapist assigned to work with Jalin, a troubled trans kid played by musician Ryan Cassata.The clip shows Andrea meeting Jalin, who was sent to a psychiatric treatment center by his parents after a failed suicide attempt.
The calming Andrea explains she identifies as nonbinary trans and her pronouns are she/they. In response, Jalin reveals his own preferred pronouns.The story of Andrea and Jalin is one of three chapters in Two Eyes, which shows an artist in 1868, a high school student in 1979, and a trans musician in 2020.
