Pop icon Lady Gaga shared an emotional statement thanking fans ahead of her inaugural show for The Chromatica Ball tour. Back in 2020, the critically acclaimed pop star sent fans into a frenzy when she announced the first batch of tour dates for her highly anticipated tour.

However due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bad Romance singer was forced to reschedule twice. “While some parts of the world are moving quickly to open up, others are not yet ready,” the beloved singer said via an email in 2021. “So until we can confirm all global dates, we have to postpone The Chromatica Ball shows to the summer of 2022.” Fortunately for fans eager to see Mother Monster, the long wait for The Chromatica Ball has officially ended.

On 17 July, Gaga kicked off the tour with her first show in Düsseldorf, Germany. Before kicking off the tour, the Paparazzi singer took to Instagram Live and delivered a heartfelt statement to her fans. “I want to really thank you for sticking it out with me and loving me through all the different iterations of my artistry as well as me as a person,” she said. “I feel more clear than I have in a long time and more pain-free than I have in ages.

Being free of pain on stage is a real healing experience because I’m able to dance and sing and enjoy the audience, enjoy the show and really tell a story. “So I just want to thank you… and I’m going to thank you in another way, and it’s through this, it’s through this performance and it will be through every performance.” Gaga’s heartfelt speech comes a few days after she reflected on the constant rescheduling of her tour via Twitter. “There was a time I thought I’d never be on stage again.
