He'll never be in Congress, thanks to a virus that killed him in 11 days. (Image via Twitter) Luke Letlow, a mask-eschewing congressman-elect from Louisiana, has died after a battle with COVID-19.
Letlow was young (he just turned 41) and in good health prior to testing positive for the virus on December 18, spent four days in care at St.
Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana, ahead of being transferred to the ICU of Ochsner LSU Health on December 23. He died December 29.
His campaign manager, Andrew Bautsch, said in a statement: Congressman-elect Luke Letlow, 41, passed away this evening at Ochsner-LSU Health Shreveport due to complications from COVID-19.
