On the day Liberty University announced it was launching an investigation into Jerry Falwell Jr’s financial, legal, and real estate dealings while president of the university, medics in Bedford County, Virginia were called to the disgraced evangelical’s home after his wife, Becki, said he was drunk and injured.HuffPost reports that on the night of August 30, Becki called 911 to say there was “a lot of blood right now.”The call was made around 2:30 a.m.
Becki told dispatchers that she left church around 11 p.m. after receiving a call from her husband, who said he had fallen down the stairs and was bleeding.When she got home the doors were locked and she couldn’t get inside.
