The Bay Area Reporter is launching a reader survey that is part of News is Out: A Queer Media Collaborative supported by the Google News Initiative Innovation Challenge.
As the paper reported last November, the B.A.R. is participating in it with several other LGBTQ outlets. The survey is being conducted to help News is Out shape its content and best serve LGBTQ readers.
In the survey, readers will also be asked about participating in a focus group in the future. Please consider clicking "yes" and playing an even more significant role in helping the collaborative develop News is Out.Funding from Google News Initiatives is $200,000, according to Nancy Lane, CEO of Local Media Association, which is serving as the managing partner for the initiative."To provide the best possible experience for you, our readers, we're asking if you can spare a few minutes to share your thoughts with us by taking the survey," stated B.A.R.
