Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in Queens, a borough of New York City, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

B.A.R. launches survey for media venture

The Bay Area Reporter is launching a reader survey that is part of News is Out: A Queer Media Collaborative supported by the Google News Initiative Innovation Challenge.

As the paper reported last November, the B.A.R. is participating in it with several other LGBTQ outlets.The survey is being conducted to help News is Out shape its content and best serve LGBTQ readers.

In the survey, readers will also be asked about participating in a focus group in the future. Please consider clicking "yes" and playing an even more significant role in helping the collaborative develop News is Out.Funding from Google News Initiatives is $200,000, according to Nancy Lane, CEO of Local Media Association, which is serving as the managing partner for the initiative."To provide the best possible experience for you, our readers, we're asking if you can spare a few minutes to share your thoughts with us by taking the survey," stated B.A.R.
