Last month, the LGB Alliance was awarded charitable status by the Charity Commission - a move that would allow the group to be exempt from tax and be eligible to receive charity funding.
The group, started in 2019, says it was set up in a bid to 'advance the interests of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals'. While its aims do not mention transgender and non-binary people, the organisation denies it is trying to 'erase trans people'.
