Most local authorities in England and Wales don’t have specialist domestic abuse services for LGBT+ people. Meanwhile housing providers do not always recognize that they have a duty towards LGBT+ survivors of domestic abuse.
Those are the warnings from UK LGBT+ hate crime charity Galop as it launches new advice to improve domestic abuse services. The advice will help those commissioning the services and the organizations which provide them.
