Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in Queens, a borough of New York City, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

NEA awards $10,000 grant to TWCD

The Women’s Chorus of Dallas The Women’s Chorus of Dallas has been approved for a $10,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support the Voices of Women concert set for March 26.

Voices of Women is an annual celebration of women’s contributions to the choral music field and is one of 1,248 projects across America totaling $28,840,000 that were selected to receive this first round of fiscal year 2022 funding in the Grants for Arts Projects category.

Ann Eilers, acting chair of the National Endowment for the Arts, said, “The National Endowment for the Arts is proud to support arts projects like this one from TWCD that help support the community’s creative economy.

TWCD is among the arts organizations nationwide that are using the arts as a source of strength, a path to well-being, and providing access and opportunity for people to connect and find joy through the arts.” TWCD Executive Director Crystal Koe said, “We are especially honored to receive this support from the NEA as we return to the concert stage.
