Phillip Schofield has accepted an LGBT award ahead of a special ceremony tonight. The This Morning presenter only came out as gay last year with the support of his wife and daughters.
Now the Daily Mirror reports on his very emotional video message as he received a special recognition award from the organisers.
Schofield, 59, fought back tears as he recorded a video message due to being unable to attend the star-studded party in person on Friday night.In 2020, Phillip took ITV viewers by surprise as he announced that he was gay during a live episode of This Morning, sat alongside co-host and friend Holly Willoughby as he opened up about his sexuality with the public.In the acceptance video for his first ever LGBT Award, he said: "Wow.
