Bisexual rugby player and Celebrity X Factor star Levi Davis has gone missing. On 6 November, Bath Rugby took to their social media accounts and issued an appeal confirming the heartbreaking news.
According to a report from The Guardian, the openly bisexual athlete was last seen at the Old Irish Pub in Barcelona, Spain, on 29 October.
Over the last few days, Davis’ family and friends have spoken out about his disappearance in various statements and social media posts. “Levis’ family and I are very worried about him and desperate to know that he is ok,” said Davis’ mother, Julie, in an interview with The Irish Sun. “Levi, please get in touch with us, or if anyone knows anything, please contact us.” Former England Rugby star Ben Foden also expressed his worries to the news outlet: “I’m extremely concerned for Levi’s safety and well-being. “He’s bravely shared with the public his personal struggles with his sexuality and mental health, and right now, it’s important he knows how loved he is and the support he has available.” Lastly, Foden’s former England rugby teammate Tom Varndell echoed similar concerns in a tweet on 5 November. “If anyone has seen or heard from Levi Davis in the last two weeks, could you please drop me a message asap,” he wrote.
According to the BBC, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office announced that they were “providing consular support” to Davis’s family.
