Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi has opened up about the film’s LGBTQ+ representation. On 8 July, moviegoers will finally get to consume the highly anticipated film – which will see Chris Hemsworth return as the lovable Norse god.
Unlike his previous adventures, the movie is set to follow the titular character as he embarks on a journey of inner peace. However, his period of self-reflection won’t last long due to the appearance of the galactic god killer known as Gorr the God Butcher.
Fortunately, an array of fan-favourite characters are set to help the beloved hero, including Sif (Jaimie Alexander), Korg (Waititi), Jane Foster / Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman) and everyone’s favourite bisexual warrior Valkyrie (Thompson).
While MCU enthusiasts are eager to dive into another Phase Four film, LGBTQ+ fans have been clamouring to find out if the project will have queer representation.
