He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

A transgender man was shot to death in Puerto Rico last week, marking the third homicide of a trans American this year and the second in Puerto Rico.Yampi Méndez Arocho, 19, was killed March 5 in the town of Moca, according to reports from local media, the Human Rights Campaign, and the New York Daily News.

He had reportedly been attacked by a woman about five hours before the fatal shooting. He was shot twice in the face and twice in the back.
