A clinic linked to the suicide of a transgender teenager is using a legal loophole to give puberty blockers to kids as young as 12.
GenderGP came under fire two years ago when 18-year-old Jayden Lowe took his own life after taking drugs prescribed online. His parents believe he ordered hormones from the site for months without being seen by a doctor in person.
Devastated mum Claire, 50, said: “I find it upsetting that they are still operating and nothing seems to have been done.” Her son, a talented art student who had Asperger’s, turned to GenderGP after facing a six-year wait on the NHS.
Despite not having had any proper counselling, they gave him hormone treatment for £30 a month. Jayden, from Meldreth, Cambridgeshire, took his own life
