Andrew Mark Cuomo (born December 6, 1957) is an American politician, author, and lawyer serving since 2011 as the 56th governor of New York. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected to the same position his father, Mario Cuomo, held for three terms.
Alphonso David Should Have Said No to Cuomo
fired as president of the Human Rights Campaign after he was reported to have helped former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo respond to sexual harassment accusations.
In particular, it seems that David was called in peripherally to help smear the reputation of one of the governor’s accusers, Lindsey Boylan, according to the New York State attorney general’s investigation into Cuomo’s behavior.
David was the in-house counsel for Cuomo before he was hired as the head of one of the largest human rights organizations in the world.Two other equality leaders, similarly called on by Cuomo to help swat away the accusations by the women, and who got caught up in the imbroglio and were included in the attorney general’s investigation, resigned.
