A post shared by Chasten Buttigieg (@chasten.buttigieg) on Pete Buttigieg yesterday ended his bid to become the Democratic Presidential nominee after failing to pick up any delegates and only 8.2% of the vote in the South Carolina Primary.
The former Army veteran, 38, was the first openly gay candidate to stand for the Democratic nominee. He made his official announcement to supporters in his home town of South Bend, Indiana, at 8.30pm ET last night.
