Long reviled by LGBTQ community members, chicken sandwich purveyor Chick-fil-A is opening its newest Bay Area location mere minutes away from San Francisco's city line.
Perched above Interstate 280 in Daly City, the chain's distinctive red signage is hard to miss by drivers headed to San Francisco International Airport, Silicon Valley, or the San Mateo coast.
The Chick-fil-A Serramonte Center opens its doors November 18 at 6 Serramonte Center on Callan Boulevard outside of the shopping mall.
It is across the parking lot from the entrance to Macy's and brings the number of Chick-fil-A locations in the Bay Area to 21, according to the company, as another East Bay location also opens Thursday.
