5, U.S. Senate races in Georgia indicate that Democrats have won control of the Senate, a development with enormous favorable consequences for the LGBTQ community and the nation.
According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s website on Wednesday morning, Jan. 6, Democrat Raphael Warnock defeated incumbent Republican Kelly Loeffler by more than 53,000 votes, and Democrat Jon Ossoff defeated incumbent Republican David Perdue by 16,370 votes.
