Gemma Clare Collins (born 31 January 1981) is an English media personality and businesswoman. In 2011, she began appearing on the ITVBe reality series The Only Way Is Essex. Following a brief appearance on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (2014), Collins has appeared in various television programmes including Celebrity Big Brother (2016), Celebs Go Dating (2018), and Dancing on Ice (2019). In 2019, she began starring in her own reality series and hosting a podcast on BBC Sounds.

Gemma Collins was in full swing of rehearsals for her upcoming GC Big Night Out tour when her mum Joan burst into tears after rewatching her infamous fall on Dancing on Ice.The pair were in the Manchester Opera House as preparations went underway for Gemma’s first live show at the arena when mum Joan got rather emotional.

A clip of Gemma falling on Dancing on Ice was being played behind the stage as the TOWIE star was rehearsing and caused Joan to shed tears as she caught sight of her daughter’s nasty tumble.

While Joan found the footage clearly upsetting still three years later, Gemma saw the funny side in her mum's reaction as she filmed her with her hands clasped over her face watching the video. “She always gets upset when she sees me fall over on Dancing On Ice,” Gemma said in the clip posted to Instagram Stories. "Mum's emotional today because she can't believe that I've got my very own show and I'm touring the country.
