TOWIE star Gemma Collins is reportedly dissolving her clothing firm and selling the last of her clothes for cheap at Essex markets. The reality star, 41, recently landed a £1million deal to become the face of New Look but it looks like the move will spell the end for her own independent clothing firm.
Gemma Collins Clothing Ltd is set to close, with the business selling off the last of its wares – including a range of dresses, hoodies, and swimwear, – on a friend's Essex market stalls.
Gemma, also known as The GC, plugged the sale on her Instagram, The Mirror reports. The original prices ranged from £30 for a jumper up to £60 for a dress, but her clothing range can now be snapped up for £5 to £15 cheaper at Ruby's Boutique stalls across Essex markets in Basildon, Epping, Pitsea, and Rochford - as well as at Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey. The GC is far from the first celeb to see her clothing sold for cheap - as she follows the likes of Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney, and singer Katy Perry, whose clothing lines have previously at a discount by fashion outlets such as TK Maxx.
Gemma has reportedly authorised her dad Alan, who is the director of Gemma Collins Clothing Ltd, to dissolve the firm. She has also shut down her website of the same name. The TOWIE star decided to pull the plug on the firm just a few weeks ago, but according to a fashion industry insider, it simply "didn't make sense" to keep her firm going while being the face of New Look.
