Heartstopper’s Kit Connor reveals he’s bisexual and accuses show fans of ‘forcing him to out himself’
HEARTSTOPPER actor Kit Connor has revealed he is bisexual. The 18-year-old, who plays rugby player Nick Nelson in the Netflix hit, said he was “forced” to discuss his sexuality by fans of the show.
In a tweet on Monday he wrote: “Back for a minute. I’m bi. Congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. I think some of you missed the point of the show.
Bye.” His comment comes after he was spotted holding hands with his A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow co-star Maia Reficco – which led to speculation amongst his followers.
Kit was inundated with messages of support following his tweet, including a message from Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman, who wrote: “I truly don’t understand how people can watch Heartstopper and then gleefully spend their time speculating about sexualities and judging based on stereotypes. “I hope all those people are embarrassed as F***.
