Heartstopper and author of the Heartstopper comics, Alice Oseman, announced that the second season — and third season! —of Heartstopper had been confirmed.Speaking to RadioTimes in April 2022, Oseman said, "It would probably be four seasons to cover the full story.
I haven't done any in-detail planning or anything, but it's quite easy to divide up the books into seasons, so four I think would do it."Fingers crossed we get that fourth one!Considering the first season covered Volumes 1 and 2 of the Heartstopper graphic novels, it's safe to assume that Season 2 will focus on plotlines from Heartstopper Volume 3.
One of the key plot points in Volume 3 is a school trip to Paris for Grade 10/11 Truham-Higgs students. In the comics, the Paris trip brings about quite a few things, like standard teenage mischief, new couples, and of course, some secrets. On July 8, Alice Oseman and the official Heartstopper TV Instagram account posted a casting call for a character being introduced in Season 2, Sahar Zahid.
Sahar Zahid exists in the Heartstopper comics and is Arabian. She's a student at Truham and used to attend Higgins. She's also a main member of the "Paris Squad," a group of students including Nick and Charlie that spend time together on the joint school's trip to Paris.
