Susan Collins called 9-1-1 over the weekend after she felt threatened when someone wrote an abortion rights message on the sidewalk in front of her house. The scary message read “Susie, please, Mainers want WHPA —> vote yes, clean up your mess” and was written in red, white, and blue sidewalk chalk outside of the Republican senator’s home in Maine.Per CNN:The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), which Collins voted against sending to the Senate floor in February, would codify the right to abortion into law nationwide and ban restrictions on abortion access. The Senate is expected to vote to advance a version of the bill on Wednesday, a move that is likely to fail amid Republican opposition.
