TMZ was the first to report news of her possible cardiac arrest.“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla said in a statement to PEOPLE on Thursday evening. “She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known.
We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”Presley had attended the Golden Globes with Priscilla on Tuesday night to support Austin Butler, who was awarded the Best Actor in a Drama award for his portrayal of her father in the film Elvis.The only child of Elvis, Presley, was born in Memphis, Tenn., on February 1, 1968.
She moved with her mother to Los Angeles after her parents divorced when she was four.After her father’s death in 1977 and paternal grandparents’ deaths in 1979 and 1980, she became the sole heir to Elvis’s Graceland residence.Presley had several high-profile marriages including to Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage.Besides her mother, Presley leaves behind daughter Riley Keough, born in 1989 and twins, Harper and Finley, born in 2006.Her son Benjamin Keough died by suicide in 2020.
