She had an uncanny ability to reach people's hearts in a deep and meaningful way. She was very tender with a hidden heart of gold.

However, life wasn't easy for her. She is survived by her four siblings: Sarah, Jeff, Joe, and Alex; niece Abigail and nephews Felix, Blake, and Blair; as well as her longtime companion, Terry Jones.

April and Jones spent nearly two decades together after meeting in 1988 at Female Trouble in San Francisco. April had a way about her, so special, that led most everyone she met including former lovers, friends, and co-workers to.
