HHS and the U.S. Treasury.As a state health secretary and a gay man watching the national response to the monkeypox outbreak, I’m upset.The recent spread of monkeypox in the United States has been understandably met by a public tired of new and deadly viruses after three years of the pandemic.
Some want to throw up their hands and ignore the problem while others have turned to fear tactics and homophobia that our communities have struggled to move past.
