If you missed it, over the weekend, Harry Potter actor John Cleese made several controversial statements that are being called out as transphobic after he defended JK Rowling, who has also made transphobic statements.
Now, Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness is publicly calling out Cleese as well. “Dear @JohnCleese you’ve made several transphobic comments here.
You do seem to not only be interested in trans folks, but also adding to transphobia at a time when trans people are being murdered world wide.
Trans & non binary people aren’t being treated kindly,” Jonathan posted in a series of tweets at the actor.
