Rylan Clark-Neal says vicious school bullies damaged him so much that he will never be comfortable with how he looks. The much-loved TV star has opened up about his challenging childhood after having his head 'kicked in' when he was a teen.

The playground abuse left long-lasting scars on the former X Factor hopeful, who isn't sure he will ever be at peace with his appearance.

Rylan has had botox, fillers and veneers fitted since finding fame and even those big changes to his look can't wash away the torment of nearly 20 years ago. "I always struggled with how I looked growing up," the 32-year-old told The Sun. "At school I was the little fat ginger kid and used to get picked on.
