State Department mum on whether Central America LGBTQ groups will receive US Aid

WASHINGTON – State Department spokesperson Ned Price on Friday did not say whether any of the $4 billion in aid the Biden administration hopes to use to mitigate the causes of migration from Central America’s Northern Triangle will go to LGBTQ rights groups or HIV/AIDS service organizations. “President Biden has put forward this $4 billion plan recognizing that if we are to get at the root causes of regional migration, we need to have a broad and comprehensive partnership with those countries in the region, especially the countries in the Northern Triangle,” said Price in response to the Washington Blade’s question during his daily press briefing. “We have talked about corruption.
