In a little-noticed development in February of this year, the trial for two men charged with the July 4, 2016 murder of D.C.
transgender woman Deeniquia “Dee Dee” Dodds was postponed from June 22 to Jan. 11, 2121. D.C. police have said Dodds was shot to death by one of four men who attempted to rob her during the early morning hours of the July 4 holiday at a location where transgender sex workers were known to congregate.
