Black trans woman Cashay B. Henderson fatally shot before home set on fire in Milwaukee
Cashay B. Henderson, a 31-year-old trans woman, was found dead in her apartment after being fatally shot before her home was set on fire.

Police are investigating her death as a homicide and continue to search for suspects. “Black Trans Women continue to be at the highest risk for homicides within the LGBTQ community,” said a Facebook post from LGBTQ+ organisation Diverse & Resilient. “The continued attacks by right-wing elected officials to remove safety and rights for Trans people are causing an increase in vitriol and hatred toward people of Trans experience.
