He bought the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants in 1996, and sold it in 2015. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $2.1 billion.[

Representative Greg Steube recently introduced bill H.R. 426 which is more commonly known as the ‘Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2021’.

Steube’s proposed legislation is angled at being compliant with existing law, specifically title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.

The federal law prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. However, the Republican is campaigning for an individual’s sex to be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.
