Denver Police Officer In Riot Gear Fired After Posting Photo Captioned: ‘Let’s Start A Riot’

A Denver police officer has been fired after he allegedly shared a photo of himself and two other officers dressed in riot gear on social media with a caption that read, “Let’s start a riot” amid local protests in response to the death of George Floyd.

A screenshot of the officer’s Instagram post was shared on Reddit Monday. Tommy McClay’s Instagram account has since been removed, and the post is no longer viewable.
