Heartstopper stars join Celebrity Gogglebox for Pride special
Celebrity Gogglebox will air an episode to celebrate Pride with the cast of Netflix's LGBTQ+ show Heartstopper. Actors Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney and William Gao – who play Nick, Charlie, Elle and Tao on the series, respectively – will join the show for a special airing tonight (July 1), sitting on their sofa and ready to dish on some telly.
The Heartstopper stars are said to be watching Big Boys, Glastonbury, This Is My House, and Scream, among other programmes. Also starring on the special are Ian 'H' Watkins, Claire Richards and Faye Tozer from Steps, Drag Race UK star Bimini Bon-Boulash and Self Esteem, Feel Good and The Flight Attendant star Mae Martin and comedian Lolly Adefope, as well as Anna Richardson and Charles Martin, and Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh. Based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, with the author herself shared the good news with fans in May. Oseman took to Instagram to post a video of her sketching Nick and Charlie in comic form, before showing viewers the finished product with the tag "2 more seasons!".
