Honey Dijon and TS Madison made history as the first trans women to land a top 40 hit single on the Billboard Hot 100. The duo are credited as co-writers on Beyoncé’s song Cozy, which featured on her latest album, Renaissance.
The track debuted at #30. Cozy features excerpts from a monologue by Madison in 2020, in response to the Black Lives Matter protests.
The TV personality said: “I’m dark brown, dark skin, light skin, bеige; fluorescent bеige, bitch, I’m Black.” Acclaimed house DJ Dijon co-wrote and co-produced Alien Superstar, one of the standout tracks from Beyoncé’s seventh studio album.
Alien Superstar also cracked the Top 40 and came in at #19. Only a handful of other LGBTQ+ musicians achieved what Dijon and Madison have.
