Following its unprecedented critical and commercial success, a sequel has been greenlit for M3GAN. On Wednesday (18 January), Blumhouse confirmed that the demonic dancing diva will return to cinemas alongside the original cast and crew.

Akela Cooper will once again helm the script, with Allison Williams and Violet McGraw reprising their respective roles as Gemma, M3GAN’s creator, and Cady, her best friend.

The science-fiction horror comedy follows an artificially intelligent doll who develops self-awareness and becomes hostile to anyone who comes between her and her human companion.

M3GAN was released to widespread acclaim and has earned over $100 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2023 so far.
