The NYC Pride March has been canceled for the first time in its half-century history. The annual June pride event, which draws millions of participants and revelers every year, was canceled on Monday shortly after New York Mayor Bill De Blasio announced the cancellation of permits for all large events for the month of June.
Heritage of Pride, the organization that runs the march, has also canceled all in-person events leading up to march. “This probably will not surprise you,” De Blasio said
