Jodie Foster won a Golden Globe for her performance in The Mauritanian but did not receive a nomination from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Additionally, the Globes gave a nod to Rosamund Pike for her role as a queer (and wicked) guardian of the elderly in I Care a Lot, but the Academy did not.There was some LGBTQ+ inclusion in the animated categories.
