overturned a judgement made last November, which saw some young trans people cut off from life-saving treatment. The treatment consists of access to puberty blockers, which temporarily pause the effects of pubescence as it can cause trans kids deep distress.
They are safe to use, and puberty resumes as normal if the young person decides they want to stop taking them. The case has been a highly controversial one, which left countless numbers of young people and their families distraught and scared about their future.Despite this appeal being incredibly positive, it’s not going to undo the harm it’s had on those who have been in limbo now for close to a year.As someone who wasn’t able to come out until I was 18, I had to suffer through.
